2.10.0 is rolling out now, with new conversation account filters to deal with .

Just like notification filters you can control what happens when accounts start a conversation with you.

No longer want to see DMs from accounts you don't follow? You can hide them, or put them behind a warning. Ditto for new accounts that might only have been created to harass you.

This, and other changes are described in pachli.app/pachli/2025/02/28/2

2.9.2 is now available. This release includes an overhaul of the Tamil translation thanks to a new contributor, and small improvements and fixes while I work on some larger changes that are stabilising in Pachli Current. More details at pachli.app/pachli/2025/01/30/2.

Thanks to தமிழ்நேரம், @kallekn, Aindriú Mac Giolla Eoin, Sunniva Løvstad, Juan M Sevilla, jens person, and @vform for their contributions to this release, and apologies to anyone I've missed.

Hi ,
Hi Nik,

saw a weird error message in 2.9.1 (on 8.1) referencing a dummy.placeholder URL.

Hi , Hi ,
Hi Konrad, Hi Nik,

found a weird effect on Tusky and Pachli, where the editor suddenly displays no content anymore after inserting some stuff (via copy & paste).

Noticed it yesterday while trying to respond to a post... and suddenly on the fourth insertion of some text everything disappears on the screen.

To reproduce:
Copy the whole text of this post to the clipboard:
https://hhmx.de/@nick/748204
Start to write a new post and insert / paste this text.

The effect shows up for me on 8.1 and Tusky 21.0 and Pachli 2.7.1.

It works good on Android 12 and Tusky 26.1 and Pachli 2.7.1.

So it may be connected somehow to the device / version of Android.

2.8.0 is now available. This version adds a new experiments feature. The first experiment allows you to reverse timelines, scrolling down for newer posts.

It also significantly improves the reliability of fetching and displaying notifications (with some caveats), and fixes a number of display bugs.

See pachli.app/pachli/2024/08/30/2 for details.

Thank you to Aindriú Mac Giolla Eoin, @ghose, @kallekn, sunniva, @mileskrell, and Juan M Sevilla for their contributions.

Hi , Hi ,
Hi Konrad, Hi Nik,

regarding Pachli 2.7.1 and Tusky 26.0 it looks to me, that only mentioned accounts are opened within the app, that uses the href scheme instance/@user, but not the ones, that uses instance/users/user.

Could you confirm this?

And shouldn't also a href to instance/users/user work within the app instead of offering to open it in e.g. a web browser?

Btw.: I remember, that Tusky 21 is doing that... but couldn't right now check this, as Tusky 21 stopped now working on an Android 7 device... sigh... (i assume the Let's encrypt issue).

Hi , Hi Nik,

regarding the current Pachli 2.7.1 i have the feeling, there may be an issue regarding the display of the used app information.

Two fields in the response: application[name] and application[website].

If application[name] is set, but application[website] is not (it's nullable), it looks like the application[name] is not shown in Pachli.

Could you verify that? TIA.

P.S.: First seen with as instance server type, but also found one sample from an instance using .

There's a new Current rolling out now.

It's a pretty niche fix, but if (a) your server uses security certificates from Let's Encrypt, and (b) your device uses Android 7, you're probably experiencing connection failures because Android doesn't trust your server's security certificate any more.

Some background on this in github.com/pachli/pachli-andro.

The new Pachli Current fixes this, ahead of a regular Pachli release later this week.
